District Events

New England District Mountain Climb

In mid-September, teens from across the district gather at Windsor Hills Camp for an overnight camp and rise early the next morning to climb Mt. Monadnock in Jaffrey, New Hampshire.  The teens at LFC have been a part of this tradition for  many years.

Quizzing

In addition to Sunday school, teens have the opportunity to increase their Bible knowledge through Bible quizzing.  Quizzing is an intensive Bible study on a selected book of the Bible. {more info}

The quizzing year runs from September through March (or April if we win at the District Quiz Finals).

Summer Camp

Teen camp is held in July (Senior High) and August (Junior High).  The camps are held at Windsor Hills Camp in Hillsboro, New Hampshire.  The camp is one week long (Monday to Saturday) and includes a variety of activities such as archery, volleyball, swimming, etc.  Spiritual growth is the focus at daily morning and evening chapel meetings.

Winter Retreat

The teens have an opportunity to attend a three-day winter retreat in January (Junior High) or February (Senior High).  The retreats are held at Windsor Hills Camp in Hillsboro, New Hampshire.  The retreat includes activities such as games, sledding, skiing, as well as times of worship.

Opportunities in Music

Our teens have several opportunities to use their musical talents including musicals, Christmas programs, small groups, as well as the Teen Worship Team.

Nazarene Youth ConferenceNYC logo

Every four years our teens have the opportunity of a lifetime … to take part in Nazarene Youth Conference (NYC).  "The purpose of Nazarene Youth Conference is to call this generation to a dynamic life in Christ by facilitating growth as disciples for Christian service in the following areas:  Community, Prayer, Discovering God's Word, and Ministry."  The next NYC will take place in July of 2007.

Service Events

Teen Fast 2002The teens at LFC are service-oriented and have many opportunities over the year to be involved in helping others.  In the past year, the LFC teens have been involved in Operation Christmas Child, Teen Fast for Missions, visited nursing homes, been involved in a Work & Witness project as well as many in-church ministry opportunities.

Spiritual Growth Opportunities

Sunday School meets every Sunday morning at 9:30 AM.  The curriculum is Bible-based and our purpose is to help our teens learn what the Bible has to say about God and what that means for our lives.  Our Senior High class (grades 10-12) is taught by Tim Linton.  In addition to Sunday School, our teens meet on Wednesday evenings for Bible study to focus on prayer and our need to be open before God.
