Whether the issue is mid-winter doldrums or simply your life circumstances, I felt the need to offer some encouragement today.  Sometimes it just gets hard, doesn’t it?  Sometimes, we feel like the wind has been knocked from us, or our legs have been cut down, don’t we?  And then again, maybe life isn’t all that bad, but perhaps it is all that good either.  What would it look for your life to be complete?

Many of us view life from our dreams and hopes.  And many of those dreams and hopes are related to an event that we desire, or a possession we want.  But what would really make your life complete?

According to Christian experience and biblical narratives,it is only God that completes that need in all of our lives.  The problem is that for way too many of us,we try to fit God into the already jam-packed leadership of our lives we control.  In other words, we want Jesus to fly our plane, but we are the ones with controls in hand! 

So what would it look like for you to relinquish control- to admit our need?  And what good it would be for God to lift you and I up as God sees fit?
